Development of Management Systems

Management Systems:

  • ISO 9001: This international standard defines the requirements of a Quality Management System (QMS), it is the basis of quality management systems and it focusses on every element of the company’s quality system. It can be implemented by organisations and companies of any size. It encourages the adoption of a process-based approach by developing, implementing and improving the efficiency of a quality management system and incorporates many aspects of “PDCA” (Plan, Do, Check, Act).
  • ISO 22000: The requirements that a management system must fulfil to guarantee the safety of food throughout the food supply chain, from producers and farmers to processors and packagers, carriers and points of sale. It features the “key elements” that industrial safety processes incorporate, constituting the basis of all approved food safety standards.
  • FSSC 22000: Developed by The Foundation for Food Safety Certification based on UNE-EN ISO 22000 and the British specification PAS 220 for the certification of food manufacturers. It is specifically aimed at food manufacturers. This certification scheme helps to safeguard the food safety standards in the supply chain production process.
  • IFS (International Food Standard): IFS Food is a GFSI recognised standard for auditing the quality and safety of food products and processes in food companies. It only applies to companies that produce or package bulk produce. IFS Food is applied when a product is processed or when there is a risk of contamination of a product during the primary packaging process. The IFS standard is important for all food companies, in particular for manufacturers producing products with a distributor trademark, as it contains a wide range of requirements related to compliance with specifications.
  • IFS Logistics: IFS Logistics is a GFSI recognised standard for auditing the food safety and quality of transport, distribution, loading and unloading processes at a wide range of storage facilities and for all transport means. It can be applied to logistics companies that store and/or transport both foods and non-food products.
  • BRC: An internationally recognised standard established by the British Retail Consortium. It is a model for distributors and department stores to score their suppliers. It helps distributors and retailers to fulfil the legal food safety requirements.
  • BRC PACKAGING: The version of the BRC standard that applies specifically to manufacturers of food contact materials and packaging. This version distinguishes between two levels of risk, depending on the final use of the packaging material regarding the type of product.
  • ISO 14001: This standard integrates environmental management into the overall management of the company. It is an internationally recognised standard that defines how to establish an effective Environmental Management System (EMS). It has been designed to achieve a balance between maintaining profitability and reducing the environmental impact. ISO 14001 is aimed at all organisations, regardless of their size or sector, that pursue the aim of reducing their environmental impact and complying with environmental legislation.
  • ISO 17025: This standard establishes the technical and management requirements that must be followed by testing and calibration laboratories.
  • Good manufacturing practices (GMP) for the production and marketing of medicinal products. Good manufacturing practices apply to the production processes of medicinal products, cosmetics, medical products, food and pharmaceuticals, in their sales presentations, including large-scale processes at hospitals and the preparation of supplies to be used in clinical trials. These practices are included in the concept of the Quality Guarantee and ensure that products are manufactured in a uniform and controlled way.
  • We provide advice in the implementation of pharmacovigilance protocols.
  • Primary sector: Integrated production, AP (Certification of agricultural produce. Prior to September 2007 EUREPGAP) and QS (control system for food quality).
  • IQNet SR 10:2015 SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS. This standard establishes the requirements of a social responsibility management system for organisations committed to the existing principles and recommendations on sustainable development and social responsibility and, in particular, those included in the International standard ISO 26000.
  • SGE21:2017 SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE AND ETHICAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM. SGE21 develops the requirements for establishing, implementing and assessing Socially Responsible and Ethical Management Systems at organisations.
